Elder
Jerry was born and raised in Oregon. He married his wife Sue in 1968 and left to attend college for 4 years in Tennessee; graduating from Milligan College in 1972. Upon returning from school he attended Central Christian Church in Portland with his family and three children. In 1984 the Teeter's began attending Beaver Creek Christian Church (now Stone Creek) to be closer to home.
Jerry enjoys anything outdoors and spends a lot of time hunting. Jerry was employed by the Oregon Bank for four years, but later pursued carpentry. Jerry retired from the construction trade in 2005. In a recent youth missions trip, Jerry enjoyed building a house in Mexico. Jerry has a servant's heart and is always ready to help others when needed.
Two of Jerry's favorite passages of scripture are Psalm 1:1-3 and Psalm 119:9-16.
Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
