Greg Strannigan
Interim Minister
Greg has been a pastor for most of his adult life. He brings a wide variety of experience in working with churches as a youth pastor, associate pastor and senior pastor. He grew up in the Bay Area and lived in East Tennessee, where he earned a Master’s degree. He and his wife Shawn have lived in central California, Alaska, Wyoming, central Oregon, and Portland.
He has experience as a hospice chaplain, drug and alcohol rehab chaplain, newspaper reporter, and whitewater raft guide. He over-achieved in marriage and married his best friend, Shawn. She is a prayer warrior and partner in ministry. They have three grown daughters and five grandchildren who live in the Portland area. They lost their oldest (a son) in a car accident when he was four years old. Greg is committed to prayer, worship, teaching the Word, experiencing community in small groups, and outreach. The Gospel is all about relationship – with God and with others. Ministry flows from relationship. His favorite verse(s) is Ephesians 3:17b-19 “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”

Cameron Miller
Maturity Ministries
Cameron joined the staff in September 2015 as the Children's Ministry Intern. In 2022, he transitioned to a role in charge of our Maturity Ministries. Cameron and his wife Sarah have been married since August 2009 and live in Molalla, OR. Cameron has earned an Associate of Arts Oregon Transfer Degree and is planning on continuing his education to earn a Bachelor's Degree.
Over the years Cameron has been involved with Jr High Youth Groups as well as High School Youth Groups and enjoys teaching children and leading them towards Christ. Cameron enjoys playing sports and reading Star Wars novels.

Some of his favorite verses are:

Ecclesiastes 3:11 "He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end."

Isaiah 7:9b "...If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all"

Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will find it."

Sara Hughes
Children's Ministry Director
Meet Sara Hughes, our Director of Children’s Ministry. She comes to Stone Creek with many years of experience in youth, children’s and worship ministries. She’s an Oregon native who lives in Aurora with her husband of 27 years and their children. Her varied interests include gardening, reading, art and music.
She was raised in a Christian home and while in college finally realized that Jesus had done everything she needed to be right with God. She is looking forward to meeting everyone and helping our children build a strong foundation based on the teachings of Jesus.

Lori Williams
Administration
Lori is part of the A-team in the Stone Creek Office. She loves creating the slideshow and newsletter for the church family every week (and hopes you enjoy them too).
She came to Stone Creek from a career in the private sector in 2013. Along with her general administrative support, she is refining her talents in the fields of communications, graphic design, marketing and social media for Stone Creek.

Don Hunt
Elder
Don's passion is making the church what God would have it be: A body devoted to winning the lost to him and nurturing those who come. Don puts his faith in the Lord to lead him, relying on God and praying for His guidance. "We need to remember that this is His doing, not ours; and continue following Him."
Don was raised in the Christian Church, as a child in Hermiston, and later as a youth in Coburg.  As a young adult, Don spent 18 years in LA learning about the world and attending no church. On Easter Sunday in 1983, Don brought his family to Beavercreek Christian Church (now Stone Creek), and has been here ever since.

He has served in various ministries - primarily finance, worship, and education - and has also served as head of the evangelism ministry for a number of years.  Don has been an elder for approximately 20 years.

John Neff
Elder
John loves being a part of the Stone Creek family and working towards its mission within the framework of loving God and loving people. John has spent his career in various financial management positions, and is currently employed as the CFO of E.E. Schenck Company in Portland. John enjoys spending time with family and friends, and pursuing a variety of outdoor activities, including running, hiking and skiing.
John has been married to the love of his life, Debbie, for 28 years. Together, they have raised two wonderful children who are both away from home pursuing their education and preparing for the next step in their life journeys. John grew up knowing of God, but not knowing God. In his early 20’s he truly encountered God for the first time, and was baptized into Christ. Since then he has been active in a couple different East County churches in various ministries including finance team, children’s ministry, youth ministry, and small group leader. Two scripture verses John tries to live by are: Matthew 22:37-39 – Jesus replied: “ ’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “Psalm 119:105 – Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.

Jerry Teeter
Elder
Jerry enjoys anything outdoors and spends a lot of time hunting. Jerry was employed by the Oregon Bank for four years, but later pursued carpentry. Jerry has a servant's heart and is always ready to help others when needed.
Jerry was born and raised in Oregon. He married his wife Sue in 1968 and left to attend college for 4 years in Tennessee; graduating from Milligan College in 1972. Upon returning from school he attended Central Christian Church in Portland with his family and three children. In 1984 the Teeter's began attending Beaver Creek Christian Church (now Stone Creek) to be closer to home.

Two of Jerry's favorite passages of scripture are Psalm 1:1-3 and Psalm 119:9-16.

Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you. Praise be to you, O LORD; teach me your decrees. With my lips I recount all the laws that come from your mouth. I rejoice in following your statutes as one rejoices in great riches. I meditate on your precepts and consider your ways. I delight in your decrees; I will not neglect your word.
